About The Role and Team
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Management Accountant to support our accounting operations, additionally, we are open to someone who is part-qualified and working towards their professional Accounting qualification. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and financial modelling skills who would provide financial reporting and commercial to the executive team.
This role would suit someone who is enthusiastic about technology and is able to adapt and work in a dynamic start-up environment.

Our team of 40+ is based in Oxford and London, with a centre of mass in our new Islington lab.

Functions of the Role
By working closely with QM Executive team and line managers, you will:
Support all company accounting responsibilities (including payroll & month end management, bank payment authorisation & invoicing)
Working closely with external partners in delivering financial and statutory filings
Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial / management / KPI reporting to identify results, trends
Own & control financial systems
Support in delivering financial budgets and forecasts with discrepancy, variance analysis and commentary
Financial modelling (excel etc)
Conduct cash flow management and reporting
Manage a team as the business grows
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
Provide annual R&D Tax Credit reporting and financial support in grant reporting etc
Projects – Financial reporting and analysis
Document key accounting processes and policies to improve internal controls
Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information
Support in delivering the company’s financial strategy & decision-making process
Assist the Executive team in presenting reports to stakeholders, and board members.
