About The Role and Team
The post holder will deliver the communication strategy and delivery of communications for Quantum Motion, working closely with the COO, Head of People and Talent, and other key members of the leadership team.
The role requires a broad range of technical communication experience, knowledge of quantum computing and hardware as well as an insight into current developments in the related fields and the opportunities they afford.

As a Marketing and Communications Manager, the position will be expected to deliver a clear and consistent identity across all our target audiences such as new prospective team members, existing team, investors, policymakers, prospective partners and customers.

Our team of 60+ is based in Oxford and London, with a centre of mass in our Islington lab.
Functions of the Role
Communications
Implement the communications strategy for Quantum Motion, covering all areas of activity, including research, training, talent acquisition, and commercial activity
Work in collaboration with the leadership team to ensure the content reflects company strategy
Contribute and where appropriate lead on other relevant related projects such as publications and events e.g. marketing for events, poster design, etc.
Briefing and coordinating the leadership team on communications issues as required
Develop close working relationships with each of the teams across the company to streamline publication development
Track and report on engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions using analytics, monitoring and feedback from stakeholders and team members across Quantum Motion
Create and maintain brand guidelines and design templates for staff to ensure coherent and consistent brand and visual identity
Editorial
Co-ordinate key multimedia materials including content for press releases, website and social media content, brochures, newsletters and adverts
Provide direct advice to colleagues on technical issues, style, tone and content of pieces
Prepare reports on Quantum Motion activities as necessary for funders and other stakeholders e.g. quarterly investor newsletters
Events
Have strategic oversight of Quantum Motion’s events programme, including identifying events and speaking opportunities and supporting staff to develop engaging agendas
Organise and develop content and resources for events, including communications guidance for employees at external events
Press and Media Relations
Co-ordinating the promotion of technical and commercial work, including writing press releases and sourcing news stories
Liaise with external PR consultant to publicise high-profile publications and scientific results both internally and externally
Act as the point of contact for Quantum Motion’s media relations and communications.
Develop and deliver training for staff in external communications
Website, Social, and audio-visual content
Internal Communications
Design creative ways of sharing internal company goals and technical updates
Managing the internal communications strategy
Support the development of an Internal Employee website (portal), handbook, and support services for employees
