About The Role and Team
The Lab Manager is responsible for making our laboratories excellent places to work - this means labs that are safe and effective, with all the required equipment operating to specifications. Our laboratories combine electronic test and measurement equipment (from DC to microwave frequencies) with a number of deep-cryogenic test-beds that have base temperatures of 10 milliKelvin (below -273 degrees C).
As we are currently scaling our laboratory space across three units in the UK, this person will support our growth journey by contributing to a range of development projects, undertaking new techniques, and leveraging new equipment. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the company’s strategy projects by delivering new support infrastructure for our quantum processors, such as developing new types of superconducting magnets or new ways of implementing high-density wiring for high-frequency signal delivery.
As a Lab Manager, the position will particularly suit a motivated, well-organised individual with prior experience in laboratory management involving cryogenics and/or electronic equipment with the desire to contribute to the company’s infrastructural projects. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to pick up new skills quickly and attention to detail.

Our team of 40+ is based in Oxford and London, with a centre of mass in our Islington lab.
